Have you ever thought of joining a book club? Or, perhaps you did join one and found the experience less than memorable. Well, now is a great time to revamp your thoughts and check out Keep St. Pete Lit (https://keepstpetelit.org) – one of St. Petersburg’s best kept secrets.
Keep St. Pete Lit – Enlightening, Stimulating and Entertaining
Whether you’re a reader, writer or just love the arts, Keep St. Pete Lit is for you. According to its website, Keep St. Pete Lit celebrates and promotes greater St. Petersburg’s literary community – past, present and future – through arts, education and events with a literary twist. We are…….lovers of words who strive to bring an approachable, engaging literary component to St. Petersburg’s vibrant arts community.
You’ll be amazed at the variety of writing classes they offer – online, senior writing and children’s writing. Online Fall 2018 class subjects include poetry, fiction, non-Fiction and self-publishing. For the first time this July they offered one week-long writing camps for children ages 9 to 12 at the Morean Center for Clay.
Keep St. Pete Lit Book Club has a home at the Museum of Fine Arts where each month’s featured book ties in with a work in the museum’s collection or a special exhibition. And their City of Writers database is a great resource for local authors of all genres.
