Pier Dolphin Cruises has been located at the St. Petersburg Pier since 1992. In September 2020 it was purchased by local businessmen, Jon Reno Labudde and Christian Obenshain, who say they are passionate about St. Petersburg, sharing its history with visitors and guests and giving everyone a memorable sea-faring experience.

The MV Dolphin Queen
The MV Dolphin Queen is a large, stable catamaran that allows safe navigation of the ever-changing water depths around Tampa Bay. The vessel has passed all US Coast Guard inspections, and its Captains are certified by the US Coast Guard. According to Captain Obenshain, it is the only Dolphin Cruise and Sightseeing vessel with a locally educated Marine Biologist on board. Before each cruise, the MV Dolphin Queen is thoroughly disinfected for the safety and comfort of guests. There is ample seating to provide appropriate safe distance between passengers and her bathroom is convenient and accessible.
Dolphin Sightings
For more than 28 years local dolphins have become familiar with the sound of the Dolphin Queen and swim right up to her bow and play next to the boat, not the case with other tour boats. It’s as though the dolphins are asking you to take their picture! Seeing these beautiful, friendly sea creatures so close-up is an amazing experience.

Sunset Cruises
St. Petersburg is known for its incredible sunsets, where the sky brims with color and the sun sinks into the Gulf of Mexico. Taking a Sunset Cruise is a perfect way to experience this daily phenomenon. The one hour, 15 minute cruise is a great way to unwind, see dolphins and other marine life and watch as hundreds of area sea birds return to their nests for the night.
