The skyline of downtown St. Petersburg is magnificent with sun-washed luxury condos, stately palm trees, pristine parks and seemingly endless waterfront. Take a drive through downtown on any given day and you’ll see new residential construction everywhere….condos, town homes and apartments. The luxury market has finally reached St. Petersburg! Here is a sampling of some of the most desirable properties.
Bayfront Tower
Located at One Beach Drive SE, Bayfront Tower was the first high rise condo building (29 floors) in Downtown St. Petersburg. It was built in 1975 and just recently completed an incredible $12 million renovation.
There are two amenities that make Bayfront Tower unique among other luxury condos – the first is its complimentary valet parking. You simply drive in to the valet area and your car is taken care of by the staff. And when you want to leave, staff brings your car down. Truly a 5-star hotel amenity! Second is its rooftop pool area – great for entertaining and relaxing with family and friends. The panoramic view of Tampa Bay, Albert Whitted Airport and the downtown skyline is an added bonus.
Parkshore Plaza
Located at 300 Beach Drive, Parkshore is an urban oasis. It is situated in an ideal location… along Downtown’s waterfront where art museums, galleries, cafes and boutique shopping are steps away.
Parkshore offers larger 2-3 bedroom units that are about 2,200 to 3,000 square feet as well smaller more affordable 2 bedroom units on its lower levels that are between 1,400 and 1,700 square feet heated.
The Parkshore Plaza is 29 stories high and contains 117 total units, 96 of which are located in the tower itself.
The Sage
Although The Sage is only four blocks away from the Downtown waterfront, it is considered to be off the beaten path. Because of this there is a disparity in price between it and the condos located on Beach Drive, making The Sage the building of choice for cost conscious buyers.
The Sage was built in 2007, has 112 residences and features floor to ceiling windows and quality finishings. The views aren’t as dramatic as those on Beach Drive, but you still get the same high end luxury feeling.
The Sage offers a total of 13 distinctive floor plan designs, ranging from 869 square feet to 1,770 square feet.
Signature Place
Signature Place is easily recognizable with its dramatic design and waterfall. Its clean lines, floor to ceiling windows and impressive lobby area are Miami /New York City chic. It is 36-stroies high with 243 residential units.
Early on Signature Place faced significant problems with a major special assessment imposed on its residents as a result of sub-standard work done by the original contractors. The structural problems have since been resolved and this trendy building is considered one of St. Petersburg’s most desirable addresses.
Because of the various condo sizes and great amenities, Signature Place is perfect for young professionals, retirees and families.
Vinoy Place
Located at 555 Fifth Avenue NE, Vinoy Place is the epitome of luxury. It was built in 2002 and is situated next to The Vinoy Renaissance Hotel, a Downtown landmark. The condos overlook Vinoy Park, Tampa Bay and the Vinoy marina.
Vinoy Place condos are known for their large wraparound balconies. The 102 condominium residences consist of 4 towers (13 stories each) and 10 townhomes. There are two units per floor in each tower, with elevators that open to each unit, so foyers are individual rather than common. Condos range in size from 1,670 square feet to 5,359 square feet. A gatehouse is staffed round the clock. Vinoy Place is a perfect mix of nature and city life.
