Wake up your bedroom with some personality…… Lifestyles by Estelia.
Would you believe that the bedroom often gets little attention when it comes to décor? It’s no wonder since guests rarely see it and getting a good night’s sleep is about all some people really want out of this room. But, think about this – the bedroom is where you want to go to relax, rejuvenate, and recharge. With a well-appointed bedroom you can relax and recharge and rejuvenate pleasurably. It’s important that your bedroom reflects your personality. Do you like to read? If so perhaps built-in bookshelves should be in your plans. Do you like sailing? Consider a nautical or beach theme in paint, sheets, pillows, rugs and accent pieces. Where to begin: start with a fresh coat of paint. It does wonders. Choose a color that makes you feel good. If you like a serene, calm look, blue or blue-green might work. If you like intimacy, try choosing lavender or be brave and go with a deeper purple. What about a television in your bedroom? Some experts say no. Late night shows can grab your attention and keep you up beyond your ideal bedtime. A small bedroom does well with ceiling to floor draperies. High hanging drapes add visual height, making a small room feel a little larger. And, don’t forget to include plants. Live plants in any room are always a welcome sight and they help to cleanse the air at the same time. Hope these tips inspire you. If you have pictures of your bedroom re-do, I’d love to see and post them.
